the medals are just badges you earn from challenges
what the little medals mean on each player’s card
If you go to Player Info and go to the right-most tab, you can see which medals you've earned.
Basically achievements. There's a list somewhere in your player info. It's mostly "do X thing Y times", with several medals for the same action, but increasing quantity (e.g. land 50 supers vs. land 100 supers).
Some are gold with a 1 and others are bronze with a 3?
Press start, go to player info. Medals will be the last page that you can tab to. Each medal (except summoning shenron and maybe a couple others) are just do something in game “10” “50” “100” “200” etc Times.
